1. How much does a biometric attendance machine cost in Ethiopia?

The price depends on the terminal type (fingerprint, face or multi-factor), the number of users it must store, whether it also controls a door, and how many branches need devices. Installation, cabling, attendance software and payroll integration add to the total. In most cases, yes. Many fingerprint and face terminals already in use in Ethiopia, including common ZKTeco models, can send attendance logs to Odoo or ERPNext through a connector or the device’s network interface. We first check the model, firmware and network set-up, then connect the devices, map employee IDs and test the data. Where a device cannot be connected reliably, we recommend a compatible replacement.

Face recognition is touch-free and faster at busy entrances, and it works better where workers’ fingerprints are worn, such as factories, construction and farms. Many sites choose multi-factor devices that accept fingerprint, face and card, so staff always have a way to clock in. We recommend the right type after a short site survey.
Yes. A biometric terminal can record attendance and open a door or turnstile at the same time, and access rules can limit who enters which area and when, such as server rooms, stores or cash offices. Door events and attendance records sit in one system, so HR and security see the same data. 360Ground supplies and installs door access controllers and turnstiles alongside the attendance terminals.
Biometric templates stay on the terminals and on your own server or in-country hosting; they are not sent abroad. Access to attendance and biometric data is limited by user roles, and records are kept only as long as your policy allows. Ethiopia’s Personal Data Protection Proclamation No. 1321/2024 applies to biometric data, so we help you set up employee notices, consent and retention rules as part of the project.
Yes. Shift rules separate regular hours from daytime overtime, night overtime, weekly rest days and public holidays, and each type is paid at its own rate in payroll.
