360Ground connects and modernises systems for Ethiopian government agencies and enterprises. We built ETL pipelines that unified 14+ legacy Ministry of Agriculture systems and over 1TB of data into one data lake, and rebuilt the National Open Data Exchange back end on microservices with an open API suite and SDKs. Our National SMS Gateway API lets government systems across 300+ agencies send messages and receive delivery reports. We also integrate new platforms with National ID, TIN, business licence and ERP systems, and take over, upgrade and support platforms another vendor built, as we do for MInT’s 23+ mGovernment apps.

What is system integration?

System integration is connecting separate software systems so they share data and work as one, instead of staff re-entering information or exchanging spreadsheets. It can mean linking a new platform to your ERP, connecting to national registries such as National ID or TIN, or pulling many legacy databases into one data platform. 360Ground does this through APIs, ETL pipelines and middleware, as when we unified 14+ Ministry of Agriculture systems into the INR-MIS data lake.
An enterprise service bus (ESB) is middleware that routes, transforms and monitors messages between many systems through one central layer. It can help when dozens of systems exchange data in complex ways. Most organisations we work with do not need one: well-designed REST APIs, an API gateway or message queues are simpler and cheaper to run. We recommend an approach after mapping your systems, data flows, volumes and the skills of the team that will support it.
We modernise in phases rather than switching everything off at once. First we document the existing system, its data and its users. Then we rebuild one module or service at a time, run it alongside the old system, migrate and reconcile its data, and cut over only when it passes testing. Rollback plans cover each step. The National Open Data Exchange was rebuilt this way, from an architecture that lacked modularity to microservices and scalable APIs.
Yes. For the Ethiopian Securities Exchange’s Crowd Investment Platform we integrated KYC, TIN and business licence checks with national systems, including automated identity verification with National ID. For ATI we connected its management platform securely to its ERP, and for MOENCO we integrated a legacy ERP and parts catalogue through custom REST APIs. Each integration depends on access and approval from the system owner, which we help you plan for.
We start with an inventory of the old system’s data, then map each field to the new system and agree cleaning rules for duplicates, gaps and old formats. Migration scripts are tested on copies first, with record counts and spot checks reconciled against the source. The live migration is scheduled around your operations, with a rollback plan. For INR-MIS we harmonised more than 1TB of spatial and tabular data, including 400,000+ parcel records, from 14+ systems.
Yes. We begin with a support and maintenance needs assessment covering code, infrastructure, security and documentation, then stabilise the system, fix urgent issues and plan upgrades. Dedicated technical staff support each major platform, and we train your team. This is the model of our agreement with the Ministry of Innovation and Technology to upgrade, support and maintain the mGovernment platform and its 23+ apps, including 24/7 support and maintenance.
