Project Overview

360Ground (Eldix IT Technology PLC) partnered with KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation Ethiopia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI), to design and develop the Begize eSpecimen Referral System. This project marks a significant step forward in strengthening tuberculosis diagnostics and management across Ethiopia, especially in remote areas.

The WHY

Project Challenge & Vision

Tuberculosis diagnosis in Ethiopia is often delayed due to logistical challenges in transporting specimens from health facilities to regional laboratories. In remote areas with limited or no internet connectivity, coordination between health posts, couriers, and testing centers is inefficient and prone to error. The vision was to develop a centralized digital referral system that empowers healthcare workers to manage, track, and communicate around TB specimen transport in a secure, offline-capable, and data-driven environment.
